Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., in O'Brien Hall (bottom floor of the Rectory), we gather to go over the readings for the coming Sunday in greater detail than can be managed in the 10 to 15 minutes allotted at Sunday Mass.
What is the historical context of a text? How does putting myself in that context change the way I understand a text? What happens when a text is translated from one language to another? What can the text mean to me in my own time and place? What is it challenging me to see differently?
It is a great opportunity to draw more profoundly into the Bible, with others on the same journey. Come and join us. No prior experience is necessary.
