New protocols follow:
With the changes in Covid regulations in California, Archbishop Cordileone has announced changes in the protocols that govern our celebration of the Eucharist in our parishes.
First and foremost, he has announced that as of the weekend of June 26-27 (officially June 24) the Sunday obligation to participate in the Eucharist has been restored. Even though live-stream will continue, it is not a substitute for participation in person, unless illness or frailty make it the only option.
Second, masks will still be required for all, and we are encouraged to maintain 3-feet social-distance between households...it is a big church, this should not be an issue.
Third, missalettes will be restored to use in the pews and the collection will be taken up in the traditional manner with the handled baskets.
Fourth, as was announced last weekend, there will no longer be a need to register to attend Mass, nor will Informed Consent forms be necessary.
This represents the bulk of the changes. Thank you for your participation and support during these times. We look forward to returning to a more normal pattern for our lives.
