Here’s an overview of the programs, resources, and opportunities we have to help you bring the love of God into the daily life of your family:
Our Religious Education program mirrors the public school calendar and meets as follows through the school year:
- For children in grades K to 5, we have weekly Religious Education classes from 9 to 10:10 am Sundays.
- For children in grades 6 to 8, we have weekly classes from 7 to 8:30 pm Mondays.
- For our 9th graders, who are in their second year of Confirmation preparation, we offer a balance of in-person bi-monthly gatherings and participation in various ministries within the OLMC community to prepare them for their life as adult Catholics.
Receiving the Sacraments is a key part of our faith. Our Religious Education program is designed to prepare young people for their own sacramental journey.
Our programs are organized to assist parents in fulfilling their role in the ongoing faith formation of their children. During 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th grades, we require at least one parent to attend meetings to help prepare them for the sacraments their children are about to receive. We also require regular Sunday Mass attendance. By frequenting the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, we receive God’s grace, grow in friendship with God, and participate in the divine life.
All participants must be enrolled in a Religious Education Program for two consecutive years in order to be eligible to receive the sacraments.
